Yvonne Randall, EdD, MHA, OTR/L, FAOTA, OTu Education Lead
Dr. Yvonne Randall is an occupational therapy advocate and educator with over 25 years of experience. She is passionate about her profession and has served in a variety of leadership roles at the state and national levels. Dr. Randall is excited about the use of technology to elevate the educational process and promote clinical reasoning. She has presented over 200 juried and invited presentations, completed over 30 book reviews, and authored 5 book chapters. Dr. Randall received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman's University, Master of Healthcare Administration from Chapman University, and Doctor of Education in Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Denise Crowley, OTD, OTR/L, BCG, Clinical Specialist Professor for Physical Rehabilitation, Monmouth University
Dr. Denise Crowley is a geriatric occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience. She has worked in acute and sub-acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities, and home care. Dr. Crowley is committed to promoting health and wellness for older adults and has presented at state and national conferences on various geriatric occupational therapy topics. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She is board certified in geriatrics and holds specialized certifications in osteoporosis, Parkinson’s, dementia, posture remediation, and functional movement to provide evidence-based interventions for older adults.
Keith Gentry, EdD, MS-OTR/L, SCFES, SCLV, Assistant Professor, Radford University
Dr. Keith Gentry is an Assistant Professor in the Radford University Master of Occupational Therapy program. He has 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist and has worked in a variety of settings, including acute care, transitional care, acute inpatient rehab, subacute rehab, long-term care, home health, outpatient ortho and neuro, schools, inpatient and outpatient mental health, and non-traditional community-based programming. Dr. Gentry holds a nationally recognized specialty certification in Low Vision (SCLV) and has presented at numerous local, state, and national conferences on topics in specialty practice. He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Montana State University-Billings, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University, and Doctor of Education in Health Education from the University of St. Augustine.
Priya Bakshi OTD, OTR, CHT, Assistant Professor, Indiana State University
Dr. Priya Bakshi is an associate professor at Indiana State University’s Master of Occupational Therapy program since 2017. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Delhi, India in 1996 and has since received a post-professional master’s degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2005 and a doctoral degree from IUPUI in 2019. She has over 25 years of clinical experience and is a certified hand therapist. She is passionate about hand care, volunteers in the research division of the American Society of Hand Therapists, and has contributed to the profession with presentations at state, national conference, and biennial Hand Care conferences. Her teaching philosophy is to encourage her students to be lifelong learners, to be a positive instrument of change in their client’s recovery, and be advocates for the profession.
Cindy Koehn, MS, OTR/L, Assistant Professor, OTA Program Director, Hawkeye Community College
Cindy Koehn holds the position of Assistant Professor and OTA Program Director at Hawkeye Community College located in Waterloo, Iowa. Prior to her current role, Cindy served as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for eight years. Her journey in the field of education began almost thirteen years ago, and at present, her areas of focus include kinesiology, neuroanatomy, pediatrics, professional issues, and adult physical dysfunction. Cindy is always looking to introduce new modalities that are relevant to the OTA program and enhance student learning. In recognition of her dedication to student success in the OTA program, Cindy was awarded the college's Faculty of the Year award in 2021. She strives to provide diverse learning activities and assignments that help each student become an entry-level OTA.
